All recordings record as a series

Greetings

This started happening about 2 weeks ago, all recording even recording immediately record as if it was a series - I have tried turning off nearly everything and the issue persists. This is Emby Windows, now here is the real kicker - I also have Emby Linux installed on a Debian Linux box that does the same thing - all recording show as a series. The two systems do not share a playlist - Emby Linux is using Apollo where Emby Linux is using Nomad. Both systems are doing the same thing.  The only common element between the two system is, all files are saved to an SMB share on Linux, from Linux the recording path is /mnt/iptv, from Windows it's \\192.168.1.178\iptv  - they both point to the same folder. Why would Emby be doing this - this is a HUGE problem for me.

Also note, the playlist has not changed recently the only thing new is the guide, that is downloaded nightly, also recordings recorded months ago now show with a 1 as if it was a series yet they don't show in series.

Is there any way to turn off series recording permanently ? I don't see anything in the UI perhaps a patch ?  Has there been a recent change to Emby in this area ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure how to explain the issue any clearer: All recordings record a single TV show as if it were a series. When viewing recordings every show, displays with a 1 in a green circle in the upper RH corner of the screen yet if you tap the Series button nothing is there.  To be clear, I never use the Record Series option.  I also see some slight behavior differences between Emby Theater and Emby browser from the task bar. If I record a tv show using a different app (I also have TVHeadEnd available to record via Kodi) the recording all dump in the same place: /mnt/iptv, if I tap Recordings when Channels is showing from the Windows Emby Theater - all recordings show with a 1 in a green circle. Even ones not recorded via Emby. In Emby browser from the task bar recordings recorded from a different app show normally but... if I use the All Recordings button they all show as a series. There has to be a way to fix this...

It has been said elsewhere that Emby is expecting a Tree for recorded TV where a series and single tv shows should not be in the same folder location. If this is the case can  you give me a simple exampe of what the tree should look like?
Recording Paths:  Windows: \\192.168.1.178\iptv   Linux: /mnt/iptv  - the iptv folder is a share I can browse it from windows even tho it resides on a Linux box.

@JanS48i understand you’re trying to describe a general example by describing the issue in hopes that we can recreate it ourselves. Unfortunately it’s not that easy.

 What I’m asking for is an exact example of what happened, when, file names, recording options, all relevant data, etc.
