buky55 2 Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 First i added myqnap repo to qnap ts-133. Emby Version there is 4.8.1.1. After install i get two emby icons. If i click on one, nothing happens. The other one says "can't run because config files are wrong". If you go to myqnap website and look for emby its same 4.8.1.1 Version. They wrote there "don not install from qnap app center, download from myqnap repo". How do i do that. After deinstalling emby from qnap i have some leftovers. I tried to download the newest version 4.9.1.80. I can install it, but its not digital signed. I worked once, but stopped working another day, server unreachable. So how to proper install for my Qnap ts-133 NAS and how to remove leftovers of emby from qnap app center in NAS. There is emby icon there, but no option to remove. Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 Hi, what was the file name of the package that you installed?
buky55 2 Posted November 7, 2025 Author Posted November 7, 2025 This is the file name. emby-server-qnap_4.9.1.80_arm_64.qpkg It worked but it's not digitally signed. I installed one from myqnap app store, but it's 4.8.1 version. Like I said, when I install from qnap app store I got two emby icon and throwing error about configuration files. Somehow I managed to install from app store without configuration error. But if you tap on emby icon it shows error not reachable. It tried to open emby server on 8920 port. You have to change manually to 8096 port.

Luke 42077 Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 What architecture is the TS-133? The arm64 download may not have been the right one.
buky55 2 Posted November 7, 2025 Author Posted November 7, 2025 I don't know what architecture is ts-133. I downloaded armv8 version and installed again. It's working, for now. What das it mean. No digital signature?

No digital signature? That is fine. All QNAP apps not in the QNAP store have no digital signature We are working on getting the store version updated. Meanwhile, it should be ok to manually install the packages available here Emby Server for QNAP NAS Downloads

In settings under "General" check mark the "Allow installation of applications without a valid digital signature" BTW If you click on the "Emby Icon" or try and use "Open" within QNAP, the link points to the default https port i.e <your ip-address>:8290 which probably won't work. Just change the port to 8096 and it will bring up your Emby server page. Once you can access the emby server you can see the default links under "Dashboard".

We declare the https port in the manifest, and as a result it always wants to use it.
