Memory Usage Issue

Ok so I am running MB Server on a Server 2008R2 box, Quad Core processor and 8GB of ram.  I constantly run into an issue playing larger files where eventually the RAM is completely consumed on the server and playback issues performance issues rear their ugly heads.  I've been fighting this for a couple of months and have seen other threads in regards to this with no real answers found.

 

I wanted to let the admin know I think I may have found the issue finally and it's something that would need to be addressed by the development team.

Having run RAMMAP on my server while streaming I can watch the "mapped file" usage creep up at rougly 100MB per 2 -3 seconds until all memory is in use.  If I run an "empty system working set" command from within RAMMAP the memory usage drops down the the normal 1.5GB or so of idle memory but then starts to rise again at the same 100MB per 2-3 seconds.  

 

Is there any possibility of the development team looking into this KB article and into MB Server to see if you're making this API call to windows and if so is there any way this can be changed?

i don't believe we are doing this. i can say we are not making any windows-specific api calls. it's always a .net framework method is doing this.
