Hi All,

With the holiday season approaching, I've created a new account for my nephews and only want them to see "kids" movies / appropriate films. But I'm having a few issues with the results in my movies folder.

I can't filter out by genre, I want to block documentaries and horror, but after I've set the rating to GB-U and selected the options on Block items with no or unrecognised rating information on all media, It's still bringing up Horror films, documentaries, basically not kids movies, all rated low, but still appearing. Ideally, I'd like to do something like in VirtualTV, where I can set rules on genre it obeys.

How do I do that?

I also want to remove playlists and collections, how do I do that?

Thanks

You can't restrict access by genre in Emby core. You can either a) use Custom Ratings, b) use Tag-based restrictions or c) reorganize your structure and use Folder-based access.

Any of those methods will unfortunately require certain time/effort investment from your side.

For a future release, could the emby developers copy the selection rules used in VirtualTV?

thanks
