Keep getting a lot of loading/pausing despite plenty of buffer

playback keeps pausing, loading for half a second, and continuing. However, the buffer seems to get pretty far ahead of the stream, and the dashboard keeps showing the stream getting set back to the beginning, then jumping back to the correct spot. This is happening for both remote and LAN

edit: it seems it only happens on videos with high bitrates, but I have been able to stream those bitrates in the past

HI, are you able to try Chrome and see how that compares?

Chrome freezes for a couple of seconds (instead of jumping back and forth), a couple of my family member have had this problem on their samsung tvs

HI, perhaps you need to lower the quality setting for the remote connection?

This happens with local connections as well; my computer and server are plugged into the same switch,

edit: but lowering the bitrate does also fix the problem when I set it to auto it picks 1080 at 6 mbps. also this doesn't happen to my firestick
