Using Emby with the external player DuneHD

Does anyone use Emby with the external media player DuneHD?

And, if you are, have you found out how to make the external subtitles be available in DuneHD?

I have a setup using the physical player R_volution PlayerPro 8K from the french company R_volution. It's using Android 11 and  I have Emby 3.5.15 installed on it. I have not found out how to transfer the information about the subtitles to DuneHD. Only the subtitles included in the MKV-files are available. When using the internal player in Emby the subtitles works fine.

I prefer using DuneHD since it supports Dolby Atmos and Vision and doesn't have a problem with synchronization of picture and sound.

Hi, you could also ask the DuneHD developers if they could accept the same intent values as mxplayer. That is what we implemented.

Thanks for your advice and also for all the massive work you put in to Emby. I'm really impressed.

I think it would be a very good idea to add support for the DuneHD player since it supports playing ISO-files, Dolby Atmos, Vision and external subtitles.

I have tested the the MX player and I think it's a good player with a very nice user interface. However, it doesn't support Atmos and Vision. I have not tested the Pro version since you have to pay for it and I'm not sure it supports Vision and Atmos. Do you know?

Is there some way for me to test the implementation for the MX Player with the DuneHD? How do I do that?

Not without them first adding support for it.
