I have 137meg UP and 500meg DOWN - why am I buffering then exiting out?

Hey all,

Just configured remote access from Windows Emby server from home (Speedtest reports 137meg upload) and at an Airbnb, which speedtests well above 500 meg.  I'm testing by trying to watch on my Windows laptop.  I've turned OFF transcoding as I want full original quality, or I'll download and watch later.

However, whenever I watch from the server, the video starts and then restarts, then restarts again and a 3rd time it exits back to the menus.

I'm going through a CloudFlared tunnel, but I was lead to believe there wouldn't be any speed issues - although I'm only on the free package at the moment whilst testing.  But, when I download the files they do not go much above 14/15meg in Free Download Manager so, maybe CloudFlared is the issue?  Would a paid package boost this speed?

As far as I can see, the videos don't seem to be anywhere near maxing the link?  Any ideas?

Thank you!

That pretty much proves what the issue is.  Something (maybe CF, maybe the ISP, maybe something else) is severely limiting your bandwidth.

Just because you have the bandwidth at home, doesn't mean that the ISP you're watching from won't throttle the ever loving heck out of your connection. For example, I have 500mbit up, my friend across town has 1gbit down, and their ISP throttles them to 3mbit. Netflix is unwatchable, Disney+ unwatchable, Emby is unwatchable as well. It's a joke that you pay for the service and they decide "nope not today". It's possible Cloudflare is your issue.

Right you could have ISP throttling occurring on either end of the connection (server or client or both).
