I have never used smart playlists so wasn't exactly sure what to build but here goes...

Create Lists Here, add new schemes for more lists

From scheduled Tasks

Playlists are generated in the playlist library, only minimally tested!

Alternative like I said in my previous post, I have not used the previous smart playlists in the other post so I am not sure how it worked or even how it looked, I do not recall even seeing a screenshot.

I have put together my version to fill the gap it left when it broke.

I don't know if my plugin is the same, similar or not alike at all.

It's the first release, I might improve it if it's needed.

It creates playlists based on your settings and updates them with a scheduled task, so they can change when your library changes.

I don't use them so it's minimal tested.

Ok. Understood.
I asked because it spoke of playlists only. It did not mention collections which is what I use. I make smart collections for played items, movies, shows and seasons,  which i then use for suggestions and input for ersatztv

Ok, so you basically want an ersarztv scrobbler.
*Amended*
Sorry I didnt know what ersatztv was - it basically a free standing m3u8 host, that creates tv channels that you can connect to like an m3u does.
So you are using it to create channels and tvguides, for a free standing streamer.

However the idea you just presented was to add a few more filters such as watched/unwatched, the that leads to others such as parent rating aswell as community rating etc.

the smart playlist i used was

Recently Watched Items per user,eg "nick's recently watched items"

"select 10 from episodes,movies, order by played date recent first, for user nick"

recalculated on interval.

I would like to also allow it to search for multiple text strings like find shows that have "wavy" or "nightly" in the title and are unplayed. Similar to my current Plex filter:

so in practical terms for this plugin.

Pull a list of users.

Add filters

1. list of users multi select like the rest
2. played/unplayed drop down
3. a textbox if title contains and word in comma seperated list
4. add parental ratings

 

Anything else?

A filter for Years would be a nice addition if you are looking for suggestions.

One way to do it could be the same as how you have already set up Min Rating and Max Rating to select a range.

I can't even make it work. Nothing appears in the Playlist area. Emby Server Version 4.9.1.0.

the config screen is within plugins then the plugin..it does not have a main menu item

I know that. I mean, I can't get it to populate any Music playlist....well couldn't. Now it's suddenly populated a playlist, but adding new ones it isn't now populating. It's definitely not working with Music. I'm sure there some way to set it up, initially, and it works fine, but at the moment it simply doesn't work for me. It's a good attempt though.

First of all, great work on this plugin — it’s really useful!
I wanted to ask if you could add support for Collections.

For example, if I type “Netflix”, it would create group all Netflix movies and series into one collection.

It would also be great if the plugin could support collections by:

• Studios or broadcasters (e.g. HBO, BBC, Disney+)

• Actors or directors (e.g. all movies featuring Tom Cruise)

• Series or franchises (e.g. “Star Wars”, “Marvel Universe”)

• Tags or genres

This would make organizing the Emby library much easier and more dynamic.

I love all these ideas, I would like to add: 

exclusions to the list, I would like the option to exclude a library for example I have multiple movie libraries but I would like that this would also exclude one or multiple libraries.

I have started to impliment some of them before the posts above.from the initial feedbacks, and I will add as many as I can.

Just be aware though that I really don't have much time at all, so it will happen when I can allocate time to it.

How do you get these Emby collections in ErsatzTV? Last time I tried I had to manually create/edit the ET collections.

This is a fantastic plugin, @mickle026. I'm using it for my Music Library. One feature request: allow users to filter on track length, so we could create a playlist of songs and exclude music files that are an entire unbroken album or otherwise not suitable for a track mix. Regardless, thanks again for figuring this out - much appreciated.

They are synced automatically as tags. Just type in the search box tag: "Emby Collection Name"

Can the size of the library impact performance? The reason I ask is navigating the settings and saving is really slow. If I click a "keyword" it take more then 30 seconds before I'm able to click anything else. I'll also frequently get a pop up that the page has become unresponsive.

i subscribed to this forum to download this plugin but it doesn't work in emby Version 4.9.3.0 web interface. the only button that works in the donate button and it opens on top of the emby web interface and can't go back so have to close the browser and open it again to go to emby
