Closed caption issues

I am having issues with Closed Captioning when watching a live IPTV channel. CC works great on the channels using my HD Homerun tuner.  Also, these same IPTV channels have no issues with CC when using Channels DVR. (Would rather use Emby if possible)  The IPTV feeds load and play great, just when I try and turn on the CC via the menu, I get a "Unable to load subtitles". I was using the newest server version download and app version 2.1.23g and having this issue.  I downloaded the newest beta version 4.9.2.6 and the newest app version (2.1.26g) and still have the same issue.

I am using AndroidTV to view. I have a older Chromecast and two new TCL Android TV's and all of them have the same issue.

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

I already have done that; the CC works fine on that when the app works. I have issues with it working well on Android TV. That said, I love the interface on Emby for AndroidTV and would like to find a way to get the CC working. I also have both Plex and ChannelsDVR and the CC works fine, but I really would like to move to Emby. Unfortunately, my wife needs the CC. Is there anything being worked on regarding this? Or anything else that I can do on my end?

It works decent as long as I always back out of the channel (stream) before going to another channel (stream). But if I go to the guide while watching (Using the menu at the bottom), The I just get audio from the next channel with the guide stuck on the screen with just a blue spining circle. The have to get completely out of the program to correct it. This also happens on my phone and tablet also. While the CC does work in the plain Andoid app, its spread out more than normal, kind of annoying. Just wish the CC was working in the Android TV version!!

I guess I will just keep using ChannelsDVR, but Emby has a much better interface.
