IainB 3 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Regards interlaced video for live TV, I have trouble getting the Android app to use the correct RealFrameRate at 50 It properly detects it's a 1080i stream but sets the RealFrameRate to 25, which looks pretty awful. If I leave and return to the channel a few times, I might get it to display correctly as 50 This is during a continuous 1080i stream, not as if it's changing via ad breaks etc. Are there any recommended server side settings or App settings I can use to fix this? Live TV via HDHomerun, and I'm using Android app 3.5.15 and Server 4.9.2.6 Beta

Luke 42077 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 HI, if you click playback correction in the video player, how does that compare after that?
IainB 3 Posted November 3, 2025 Author Posted November 3, 2025 Thanks for the quick reply Luke, Screenshot shows after playback correction. Unfortunately, motion still looks bad.

Attached are logs that show 1080i direct play RealFrameRate at 25, then playback correction attempt to force transcoding ffmpeg-remux-e2d7049e-bdbd-46fb-b1f3-278cb5b0a77b_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-33bf674f-c46b-4523-bc4f-89816a152712_1.txt LiveTV with transcode log.txt
Luke 42077 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 Hi, do you actually know that it's not 25 fps, or is the real issue just that it doesn't look good?
IainB 3 Posted December 11, 2025 Author Posted December 11, 2025 Hi Luke, Issue is it plays 1080i 50fps content at 1080p 25fps and the motion looks bads
