Teredactle 37 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Can someone please explain this to me? I've been waiting for some time for a way to send only 1 grouped notification a day, that will group all the "new media added" for Home video/photo libraries. Otherwise the user getting the update will get 100 emails, if 100 items are added in one day - I find this design really poor. So am I assuming that this feature that's been added addresses this behaviour? > Add option to group notifications If so how? I really don't see any difference in the notification options after updating. TY
Luke 42077 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Hi, not exactly. It groups them over a short period of time, like a few minutes, so that if you're adding an entire season, this way they'll only get one notification for all of those episodes.
Neminem 1518 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 @Lukeare there an entire season in Home video/photo libraries? Those are individual items, right.

Neminem 1518 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 @Lukethats ops issue, Home video/photo libraries sends an email pr. new media file. If I read this correct.
Teredactle 37 Posted November 22, 2025 Author Posted November 22, 2025 (edited) @Neminemthis is the problem - if I add 15 photos in a day whether it's at the same time or throughout the day, this sends out 15 alerts/notifications to my family. Pretty much spam; can these notifications not be bundled for the DAY, so that the notified people just get one email with the added changes for that one day (if there are any)? This is what I'm asking. >>I've gone the Playback reporting route, even added some code through github only to find out that you can't limit the libraries that the plugin uses; so while that does provide a group notification, it notifies about content for ALL libraries, even libraries to which the notified user has no access to. So that didn't work Edited November 22, 2025 by Teredactle
Teredactle 37 Posted January 8 Author Posted January 8 Bump on this, can we please have a remedy? If I push in 20 new photos and 30 video clips into a Home P&V library, my dad gets 50 emails. This makes no sense. How hard is it to add code to just send notifications once a day and bundle everything in that? If this (send only daily notification) would be a global option (on or off) users that want notifications immediately can leave this off. Users that want 1 notification per day for all media, will get 1 email a day. Seems pretty simple. Just very annoyed how this is working right now.
