Password Reset

I forgot my Emby password.

When I use the forgot password link, it says to go to my server and use these instructions passwordreset.txt

But i cannot access my server because i forgot my password and my account is disabled.

I am on Server 8, how do i reset my password??

What is Server 8?  Whoever you got this info from will have to assist you as Emby does not host anything.  It provides you the install to install on your own hardware.

What platform did you install Emby Server on?

Normally you would see a full path but don't know all platforms.

As Windows will be the server programdata folder location.

I installed the app on my phone and ipad.  I did not install it on my PC - i access via the web.

I'm not able to reset the password on any of these apps. 

Forgive me, i am new to this platform....

I access content via Ultimate Server (UDI) through Emby....

If you did not install a Emby server on your hardware we cannot help you and you have to contact whoever you got the server from as they have absolutely nothing to do with Us.

I am completely confused. I can sign into my Emby account to see my profile etc., but then when I try to log into the app on my phone or ipad, it does not recognize my credentials.

Should I just delete my account and start all over again??

Makes no sense but if you can sign in then your password is just fine.  The question becomes why is the client/apps not talking to your server properly.

But if you see your Profile then you see this correct?

You've obviously bought an account to someone's server, which is 100% against the rules. If you want help you need to contact whomever you paid for your access as the Emby forums and the Emby team will absolutely not assist you with this. The fact you can log into the forums means your account works FINE and whomever is in charge of the server you paid into, has either changed your password and you'll need to contact them or has taken your money and ripped you off.

This is NOT an Emby problem.

Mods should just lock this and ask user for the reseller's email address so they can kill the server.

@Marcf25are you trying to connect to your own Emby Server, or someone else's Emby Server?
