Question About Dialogs

Why does the Android app show every dialog in full screen? eg removing an item from a list, you get a small modal that takes up my entire tv screen. obviously it was designed for a phone, but it should have some kind of responsive UI and not behave like that on a big TV.

the situation right now is quite strange - there are UX elements that are done better in each app, and also cons. it would be nice to have one consistent UI. I've switched to the Android app from ATV, since it has better playback and works far better with the Google TV remote.

Not all dialogs are shown this way, although most are. But Typically on TV apps you can only do one thing at a time so the full screen dialog helps keep your focus and attention there.

I understand that but it just doesnt look ok, having a full screen dialog with a few lines of text. the user also loses the context of where they are. there are also modal dialogs on the ATV app and many other tv apps, that don't work like this.
