tv library not recognizing certain folders

I've only had emby for a few days and emby premiere for less than 24 hours, but I've been trying to figure out this issue for quite a few hours now with no luck. I am not super knowledgeable about networks etc, but I have set up plex and jellyfin in the past and they've worked fine.

 

I was creating my Movie and TV libraries. Each was 3 folders from 3 different drives (drives D, F, and J) The Movie library was created perfectly. emby added all the media from(D:\WATCH\Movies, F:\WATCH\Movies, AND J:\WATCH\Movies). Then I created my TV library.. (D:\WATCH\TV SHOWS , F:\WATCH\TV SHOWS ,AND J:\WATCH\ TV shows). emby was not adding any media from  F:\WATCH\TV SHOWS. No matter what I try I can only get the tv shows from the D and J drives to work.

 

What I have tried to fix it:

1. Created a new 'WATCH' Folder on a new drive, just to see how it reacted. G:\WATCH\MOVIES and G:\WATCH\TV SHOWS... Emby added the media from the G-movies folder but not the G-TV shows folder.

2. checked the folder permissions and security. each drive and folder have full access

3. I cant even remember what else i have tried. Ive been trying so many things and am totally lost.

So basically emby is only adding shows from the D and J drives, not the F or G drives. The media from the "Movie" folders on all 4  drives are adding just fine. I have the same file naming pattern throughout my entire collection, so I am not sure what the problem could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, is your F drive offline or unreachable?

its online as far as i know... i am not super knowledgeable about this sort of thing though, so maybe i am misunderstanding what offline/unreachable actually means in this context?

that being said, i have a plex media server as well and am  currently using that  to watch the files that emby wont recognize from the F drive. also, movies from F drive are adding just fine, its just the TV shows that wont add.

 

... oh i see what you mean, I was messing with the security and permissions of all the drives and folders, trying to get the "F drive TV shows" folder added and must have changed the folder's owner (or whatever the term is). its allowing me to access all those movie files after clicking "continue to get permanent access to this folder". im not sure how to get permanent access for all the movies without clicking each folder individually, but im glad i didnt create one more major issue to fix.

the only issue i still haven't figured out the TV Shows Folder from drives F and G not getting added.

@skampoetSo now that you've solved that it sounds like you need to run a library scan, no?
