"Added" date is actually timestamp of movie file, not when added to Emby

Occasionally I've added items to Emby and not seen them at the beginning of the "Latest Movies" list or similar.

I just checked one such movie now, and the NFO reads:

  <dateadded>2025-09-30 11:10:53</dateadded>

However, it was added today, and the "Date Modified" value of the mp4 file is 30/09/2025 11:13 (Not exact match, but similar).

Is Emby taking the dateadded value from that rather than the actual date and time  it was added to Emby?

It uses the Date added behavior setting

So either date scanned into Emby or file creation date.  So your example suggests you are set to file creation date.

Ah! I didn't know this setting existed. Thanks for that.
