AVTechMan 8 Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 I have a question in regards to my media library. I know that for most I can categorize the media based on TV Shows and Movies as well as Collections, etc. However, I am wondering if there was a way to fine tune the media further by putting in them in specific sections and not having certain shows appear in other categories. For example I have the Animation category for all animated TV shows and some movies, the Movies category themselves, TV Shows and then Collections for mostly Movie boxsets and some animated series. When I go to the Collections part of the library, I see of course all the movie boxsets and the animated boxsets as well (like the Cinderella collection, etc). I'd like to know if for Collections I can just see only the non-animated movie based collections, and the animated stuff in their own section. I know JRiver can do this, but its alot more work than I can put into it right now. I know this is breaking it down further to have it display a certain way but was wondering if it was possible. If I need to clarify it better I can try.
Luke 42077 Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Hi, that is the global Collections section, so it lists all of them. In your movies library there will be a Collections tab, and there you'll only see Collections related to that library. Does this help?
AVTechMan 8 Posted November 2, 2025 Author Posted November 2, 2025 Hi Luke, it seems that I haven't quite noticed that before, but now that i've drilled into it some I see more of what you were saying. I'm starting to discover a few things I haven't before which is a little surprising considering how long I've been using Emby. So basically past the Global tabs they should be broken down more based on how I categorize the media. Appreciate the help! 1
