Actor Metadata Missing

I've had the same issue. Been happening for months since the beta. The best part is, even if you manually refresh metadata, it will fill in, but eventually will disappear again. Was hoping someone else would post about it as I've been too busy to deal with it. It appears to only affect movies that I can tell. It always downloads producers, directors and writers and other production staff though, just doesn't download actors info for whatever reason. Running server version 4.9.1.80 on linux/unraid currently. This is not a new install and previously loaded the metadata just fine. At some point during the last beta process things went haywire with metadata. I have deleted all NFO files and the metadata folder previously and the issue persists. I even rebuilt the library from scratch a few weeks back.

And what is the content of the nfo file as what you are describing sounds like a write permission issue so a refresh updates info to db but a reread of nfo removes downloaded db only information.

Yes, manual refresh works fine and loads the actor info. The issue is it doesn’t always stick. I don’t believe this is a permission issue as nothing has changed locally on my server and all metadata is located on my cache drive. It only affects movie libraries. Also, if it were a permission issue, why would it be affecting only actor information and not the producer, director or writers? Thanks.

Can you provide a specific example nfo file?  Along with the server log for the refresh.

Still sounds like nfo files not updating with new metadata if it ever reverts after a refresh.
