Charliexyx 7 Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 is it possible to read my library with different covers for each disc? Hörbücher/ └── Der Herr der Ringe/ ├── folder.jpg ← main cover for the whole audiobook ├── CD1/ │ ├── folder.jpg ← Cover for disc 1 │ ├── 01 - Prolog.mp3 │ └── 02 - Ein unerwartetes Fest.mp3 ├── CD2/ │ ├── folder.jpg ← Cover for disc 2 │ ├── 01 - Aufbruch.mp3 │ └── 02 - Die schwarzen Reiter.mp3 └── CD3/ ├── folder.jpg ← Cover for disc 3 ├── 01 - Der Rat von Elrond.mp3 └── 02 - Auf nach Süden.mp3 I tried this, but it uses the main cover for all tracks - even when I embed the different covers in each track (which is not preferred due to size) it still uses the main cover
Luke 42077 Posted October 25, 2025 Posted October 25, 2025 Hi, if the content type of the library is audio books, then each track can have their own embedded image.
Charliexyx 7 Posted October 26, 2025 Author Posted October 26, 2025 Thanks four your Reply @Luke Yes, it can, but do I have to set it manually, or is there a possible structure so emby will understand the different covers correct automatically? (I try to configure my library in a way without having to set something in the software - for the theoretic case that the settings are lost) The library is Audiobook
dredd1963 17 Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 You can use a program called mp3tag to embed your cover into your tracks. If i remember correctly you can do it in batches at the same time.
Charliexyx 7 Posted October 28, 2025 Author Posted October 28, 2025 Thank you @dredd1963, yes I tried - I use Mp3Tag, but as soon as I provide a cover for the whole audio book, it overwrites all individual embedded covers. I think it should be possible to give a cover for the album and for each disc also an own cover
Luke 42077 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Hi, yes what you're saying makes sense. Currently the only way to do it is by assigning the same image to each track. When a track doesn't have any image, it will inherit the image from the album, which is the most desirable outcome the vast majority of the time.
