Natelanxon 27 Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Hi. Is there way I could speed up the load times of my Emby libraries’ home screens? I’m attaching screen recordings of it opening on iOS and also in Edge on Windows. Perhaps it’s just symptomatic of my server having more than a dozen libraries, several dozen media folders and 18 storage disks. If I’m just pushing it too far and this is what it looks like then fair enough. But if there’s something I can change to speed up load times that would be really helpful. Thank you! Luke 42077 Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
Natelanxon 27 Posted October 22, 2025 Author Posted October 22, 2025 embyserver.txtAttached. I loaded the homepage, waited for it to load, then exported the log. It contains the contents since 4am this morning though as well by the looks of it.
Luke 42077 Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Hi, have you added a lot of content with webstreams? If you are importing massive m3u lists with it, then be aware it can significantly increase the size of your database, which will impact server performance. Also there appears to be a library scan going on during this time. Maybe the problem is just all of the concurrent activity?
Natelanxon 27 Posted October 22, 2025 Author Posted October 22, 2025 No I've not added any webstreams. I installed the plugin but nothing inside it. I do have some M3U files associated with my Live TV library though. Perhaps there's some delay caused there. I don't really need those so I could disable them. I didn't see a library scan taking place at the time. The last metadata and library scans were 9 hours and 7 hours ago respectively. I'm wondering if turning off real-time monitoring would help, at least for the libraries that sit on spinning disks rather than SSDs.
Natelanxon 27 Posted October 22, 2025 Author Posted October 22, 2025 I wonder if Backblaze is causing a slowdown. I can see it's running a massive backup. I'll pause it overnight and see if it resolves things. 1
