rwdfresno 1 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 When using live TV on a particular stream I'm getting a playback error "No compatible streams are currently available" in the UI when trying to play the channel. This occurs in every way I have tried - Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, iPhone App as well as FireTV App. This worked for me for quite some time but stopped working. When I open the stream in VLC it works perfectly. All other streams work perfectly. I have tried with all combinations of transcoding enabled and disabled for the user. I have tried multiple users. I have cleared transcoding cache, restarted the service. Running server on Windows 11 Pro. embyserver - Copy.txt ffmpeg-directstream-464b755e-5cd7-4e90-bbf2-538232aaf43a_1 - Copy.txt
Luke 42077 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 HI, did you see the error in the ffmpeg log? The server hosting the content is sending back a 403 forbidden response.
rwdfresno 1 Posted October 21, 2025 Author Posted October 21, 2025 Yes, I see the error however, the stream works perfectly with VLC and another IPTV client, so the session is being handled differently by Emby and trying to determine why that is. I may have to use wireshark or something to get to a lower level.
Solution rwdfresno 1 Posted October 21, 2025 Author Solution Posted October 21, 2025 Actually I figured it out. It has to do with my split tunnel. VPC is using a different path to the internet. We can close this. 1
