Hi,

Would be great if the server could generate a conf file that you just have to share and the extension type is associated and opened by Emby app on any platform, this will share the server URL / IP and the port so we just have to send the file and opening it will configure Emby automatically on the device

No but I have a lot of friend and family connected on it and I don't know why their clients is loosing connection, probably because I'm not using default ports and I'm using caddy to generate https certificate but I had to create a pdf how to connect to Emby step by step, I think it's good idea If you have a family member that is not comfortable with computer, having to type an url and a port looks like rocker science

How would you install this file on an iPhone?

This would be actually quite comfortable.
Maybe not with a file, but with the link to the server + accessdata encoded in a QRcode for example. So you can give your users a printed paper they can keep at home. They just make a picture and can login that way. I always wanted to make such thing for access to my private matrix-server because people struggle setting the clients up.
But i assume that this is way too QoL and there is plenty of other things that would be more important to work on.
