shadezero 2 Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 (edited) Is there any known method to enforce the default quality to be set to maximum or have the client settings configured to 4K 200 mbps (home, remote, internet) by default? The "auto" setting is terrible and making people transcode for no reason (Reducing bitrate due to quality setting). I had tried to disable transcoding at one point, but that caused some random issues for browsers/Samsung TVs. Is there a header-rewrite or server side option to increase the default "auto" value? Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 Currently no but probably need to follow this topic. There are some hacks to make all connections considered Local so auto is somewhat ignored per other topics. But would think almost all ISPs would do lots of traffic shaping at bitrates like that.
