AurelMarius 8 Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 Hello, I have a Horizon TV running OperaTV OS. The tv doesn’t support ac3 codec on web browser and because emby is transcoding all audio tracks to ac3 all videos plays without sound. If I play a file with aac audio codec, everything is fine. Is there a way to force transcode to aac instead of ac3 ? Thanks.
GrimReaper 4739 Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 Have you tried selecting "Playback correction" in OSD cog menu? 1

Edit: @Luke, maybe process logic should be reshuffled there, to go from lighter to heavier load progressively, so instead of remux-video transcode-audio transcode it goes remux-audio transcode-video transcode? Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 Probably need to see transcode logs also as dev may need to edit the device profile as it must be reporting supported codec.
Luke 42077 Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Luke 42077 Posted December 21, 2025 Posted December 21, 2025 Hi, where did you see that the TV doesn't support ac3 in the browser?
AurelMarius 8 Posted December 21, 2025 Author Posted December 21, 2025 It is just a guess. I tested with multiple files and got the same behaviour. If the file contains ac3 audio there is no sound, with aac everything is ok.
