Mister Steve 30 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Some of my playlists seem to be accessible to multiple users (or global) while others are only available to one user. Is there a way to assign a playlist to be global and accessible to everyone?
GrimReaper 4739 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Three-dot menu on a playlist>Manage collaboration.
Mister Steve 30 Posted October 17, 2025 Author Posted October 17, 2025 Thanks, found the option - it only appears on recently added playlists. I suppose my older playlists were created before the option was available.
Painkiller88 248 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 you can make all your playlists global or user defined by moving them to userplaylists for user only playlists or into the playlists folder to make them global. But the "new" options for collaboration are only available if you make them your user playlists, old global playlists does not show this options in the menu

I suppose my older playlists were created before the option was available. Any playlist created prior to the option being available will be considered global. The easiest way to move them forward to the new system is to click on the 3 dot menu when viewing the "old style" playlist and select "add to playlist." Then select a new playlist to add it to. This gives you a new playlist with user management that contains all of the contents of the old one. After that, you can delete the old one if you like.
Luke 42077 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Quote moving them to userplaylists No, do not do this. Those playlists are user specific. if you move a file into there, the server will scan it, but it will not be associated with any user and therefore won't be displayed to anyone.
