KosmicDaKerbal 0 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Hello, I have been running an emby instance on my home server for quite a while and it so far it had worked great, however in the recent couple of days I've had a problem: the playback on Emby Android Client stopped abruptly after two songs were played/skipped. My emby setup is a simple docker compose file with cloudflare tunnel, so I first assumed it was a problem with the tunnel because emby worked perfectly well on my local network. But my problem got resolved somehow after a reinstall of the app. Later I realised that my transcoding settings (64kbps audio on cellular) are what's causing the issue- since after reinstalling the client specific settings are reset. I thought it could've been a cpu bottleneck, but I tested the same transcoding with the web client, and it worked like normal, which makes me believe that the issue is in the Android client itself, and not in the server or the cloudflare tunnel. Was there any recent update to the app? Please let me know if there is a fix to this.
Luke 42077 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
