Suggestion: Allow Live TV usage without requiring Emby Premiere

Hello Emby Team,

I’d like to respectfully address a question and suggestion regarding Live TV usage.

Currently, Live TV access requires an Emby Premiere subscription or the use of Premiere-activated devices. I completely understand this helps support ongoing development, but I wanted to ask if there’s any possibility of creating an alternative option or partnership model that allows Live TV to work without requiring a Premiere license — especially for community or small-scale server setups.

For example, maybe through a limited free-tier access, a custom agreement, or API-level authorization that could enable Live TV for specific use cases, while still maintaining Premiere-exclusive benefits for the rest of the features.

The goal would be to encourage more users to experience Live TV and later upgrade to Premiere once they see its full potential.

Is this something the Emby team has considered, or could consider in the future?
