yocker 1247 Posted October 16, 2025 Posted October 16, 2025 (edited) I have created this little plugin so users can make issue reports for videos like for example missing substiles. Sadly because of the closed nature of Emby it will only work in the web client (in a web browser) in a bit of a hacky way. The way it works is that you copy the javascript code in the plugin settings into the url of a bookmark. When you want to report an issue then go to the video in a library in question (don't start the video) and click the bookmark. A report will be be shown in the log of the plugin. The code for the bookmark and a better explanation can be found in the settings for the plugin. It can also be set to use the Emby notication system to send push over messages if you have installed that plugin. I made this plugin for my own use so i won't be taking requests for improvements or bug fixing. Sorry! I have how ever made the code available to any one that wants to do anything to the plugin. The plugin has been tested to work on my system without issues, i haven't tested it on other systems though. EmbyReporter.dll EmbyReporter.zip Edited October 16, 2025 by yocker 2
Przemek 70 Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 Hello, it's possible to make that plugin more user friendly? None of my emby users knows what is JavaScript code. It will be great to add that line to report issue next to other settings of movie/episode. On three dots menu. Just click report issue and users will report simple note like playback issue or subtitles issue. @Lukeit's possible?
yocker 1247 Posted November 15, 2025 Author Posted November 15, 2025 I do have a version with a report button in the context menu that i have been working on. Sadly it still only works in the web based Emby. It requires you to replace a file in Emby hence why i havn't released it here since i don't want to be responsible to people messing up their Emby.
Przemek 70 Posted November 15, 2025 Posted November 15, 2025 That's great to hear. Maybe devs will help with that. To make that fully functional in next releases. Regards.

A "real" report system would be awesome and i hope the developers would release something like it at some point. I often get called up by family members having trouble with subtitles, could avoid that call with a report system. Maybe some API for it as well so a fix could be automated. Get on it devs!!
