Option to tell library settings to use or ignore embedded metadata in movies and/or TV shows

I am a new user from the Plex environment.  I have set up several test beds to see how easy it would be to get my metadata for over 2000 movies and 23000 episodes of tv shows into Emby.  Everything seems to import into Emby except for a few items.  Upon working with Luke to figure out why those few items did not import correctly, I started seeing actors disappear from the Cast & Crew section of a movie detail after I did a refresh metadata.  Here is a link to that support discussion:

After a few days of trying to get my cast and crew section to show actors it was determined that I had embedded metadata in all my movies and episodes, which is a true statement.  The troubleshooting discussion ended with me being told that embedded metadata had higher priority over metadata downloads.  But we never got the actors to show back up in any of my movies.  It was suggested that I remove all the metadata from my media.  A casual statement was made that maybe Emby needed a setting to use or ignore embedded metadata.

I am still fairly active on the Plex support forums and I see lots of unhappy plex users talking about dumping Plex and going to Emby or Jellyfin.  There were several discussions about embedded metadata from some of those in the discussion.  I think it may be safe to say that quite a few Plex users were adding their own metadata to their media libraries so that, like me, they could identify or find videos easier.

I think that as more Plex users try out Emby, if they have embedded metadata in their media they MAY run into the same situation that I saw.

Wouldn't it be nice if Emby had the option to use or ignore embedded metadata and maybe even select what tupe of metadata to use/ignore, i.e. genres, posters, etc.
