VicMoore 754 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 (edited) @Lukethe Emby EPG plays programs at the current time. @TheLivingBubbaproposed a new idea. What if the EPG was not governed by the current time, but for each channel, the content is play from where it last left off. Of course, the state would be saved for each user. I seem to remember seeing a plugin that had some of these features. It created a home page icon and when clicked it allowed the user to select the media to play. Does such an example exist? Or does anything even slightly similar exist. I think this would make an interesting plugin that would be interesting to those that want to view their media over several sessions. I would appreciate any pointers. Vic Edited October 10, 2025 by VicMoore
Luke 42077 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Hi, there's no way to do this on your own currently .What we need to do is allow for a start time offset for channels or programs.
VicMoore 754 Posted October 10, 2025 Author Posted October 10, 2025 (edited) @Lukeusing the VirtualTVexample code as an example, all you would have to do is return the point in the EPG data where the current user last left off, for each channel viewed. Is this possible? Vic P.S. I can see that there would be a problem with the GUI. Edited October 10, 2025 by VicMoore
Luke 42077 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 That's the idea but it's not possible today.
VicMoore 754 Posted October 10, 2025 Author Posted October 10, 2025 I understand, thanks for the help. By the way, where is the repo for all of the Emby plugin code. The place where I got the virtualTVexample code? Vic
