vbphil 0 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 I've been unsuccessful at getting a connection from Emby on a Samsung TV to local PC running JRiver Media Center. The TV is a Samsung QN65QN85DDFXZA (2024 QLED TV running Tizen OS Version 8.0) Media Center Version: 34.0.71 Registered JRiver's media server is running on 192.168.1.10:52100 but Emby shows it as unavailable. The mp3 player in the TV does see the media server, I believe via DLNA. The reason I'm not using it is because when loading a playlist it re-sorts the files alphabetically instead of maintaining the playlist order. Yuk!!! I was hoping Emby would honor the playlist order, but, I can't get it connected. The JRiver Media Server logs shows the DLNA server is at that ip/port. I guess my question is, is Emby known to work with the JRiver Media Center DLNA servers? If so, what's the trick?
Solution Luke 42077 Posted October 10, 2025 Solution Posted October 10, 2025 Hi, Emby does not have a feature at this time to pull in content from other dlna servers. It's possible for the future though. It has come up before. 1 1
joshhuggins 22 Posted December 22, 2025 Posted December 22, 2025 Would love to see this too. I have advanced smart playlists for both audio and images built on Jriver and would love to be able to play them in Emby. I too am having to play music via my TV's chunky UI to access my JRiver DNLA server. 1
