Eisi2005 14 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Hi, It would be great if the server offered a native option to edit all metadata, including the displayed audio and video data. Yes, there is the Mediainfo plugin, but 1. it doesn't run on every system, and 2. as I understand it, I can only apply it to the entire library and not to individual movies.
Eisi2005 14 Posted October 11, 2025 Author Posted October 11, 2025 i want to Edit the Audio Metadata. I would like “German DTS:x” to be the default setting there, rather than German DTS-HD MA 7.1. I would like to edit this setting manually for some movies.
Neminem 1518 Posted October 11, 2025 Posted October 11, 2025 If its a MKV file then try with MKVtoolnix. That can edit audio position + much more. MKVToolNix Downloads – Matroska tools for Linux/Unix and Windows 1
Eisi2005 14 Posted October 11, 2025 Author Posted October 11, 2025 You can customize the titles with mkvtoolnix, but that's not what Emby displays and reads by default.
Luke 42077 Posted October 11, 2025 Posted October 11, 2025 Right that title is generated based on the codec name.
Eisi2005 14 Posted October 12, 2025 Author Posted October 12, 2025 Genau und von daher wäre es klasse wenn man das bei den Metadaten manuell editieren könnte 1
Eisi2005 14 Posted October 15, 2025 Author Posted October 15, 2025 Exactly, and that's why it would be great if you could edit this manually in the metadata. 1
visproduction 315 Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 Possible edit using full ffmpeg install. https://github.com/yllanos/corozo
Eisi2005 14 Posted October 18, 2025 Author Posted October 18, 2025 (edited) Would it be possible to adjust this directly in library.db? If so, which table should I examine there? Edited October 18, 2025 by Eisi2005
Luke 42077 Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Hi, that is generated on the fly. If you edit coded names in the server database then that will likely cause playback failures. i think once we update our ffmpeg build with dts x detection then it will display more to your liking.
Eisi2005 14 Posted October 20, 2025 Author Posted October 20, 2025 Thank you for your reply, but it's not just DTSX, it's also Dolby Atmos, where Dolby Atmos is not displayed directly.

Eisi2005 14 Posted October 23, 2025 Author Posted October 23, 2025 ok i will wait for that and will see
