An option to manually edit all metadata

Hi,

It would be great if the server offered a native option to edit all metadata, including the displayed audio and video data. Yes, there is the Mediainfo plugin, but 1. it doesn't run on every system, and 2. as I understand it, I can only apply it to the entire library and not to individual movies.

i want to Edit the Audio Metadata. 

I would like “German DTS:x” to be the default setting there, rather than German DTS-HD MA 7.1.

I would like to edit this setting manually for some movies.

If its a MKV file then try with MKVtoolnix.

That can edit audio position + much more.

You can customize the titles with mkvtoolnix, but that's not what Emby displays and reads by default.

Right that title is generated based on the codec name.

Exactly, and that's why it would be great if you could edit this manually in the metadata.

Would it be possible to adjust this directly in library.db? If so, which table should I examine there?

Hi, that is generated on the fly. If you edit coded names in the server database then that will likely cause playback failures.

i think once we update our ffmpeg build with dts x detection then it will display more to your liking.

Thank you for your reply, but it's not just DTSX, it's also Dolby Atmos, where Dolby Atmos is not displayed directly.
