pgriffith 88 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Hey Luke Just finished a clean install of 4.9.1.80, got my entire collection added with NO date added issues which has never happened before. Only thing I did different I can think of is I added all my locations one at a time and then only added more once the previous one had completely finished. Anyway everything is running WONDERFULLY. BUT, in the process of bringing across users and watched data from my old ancient install I have managed to create another user. I think this happened when I copied the old user.db across, which clearly I shouldn't have. As you can see I'm logged in as user Griff, but there is another one listed as shown. it's not listed as a user when you select Change User. I have a total of 7 users on the system, it's also not shown in the Users section of the Dashboard. There is also only 7 folders in the AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\config\users folder If you select that other user then you get this: Could you please tell me how to get rid of it. Happy to dive into a DB if need be. Just to reiterate, the new server is running great, fast scans, fast responses, I must of had a load of crap leftover from years of upgrades.
Luke 42077 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Hi, if you restart the server, is it still there?
Solution pgriffith 88 Posted October 10, 2025 Author Solution Posted October 10, 2025 Hi Luke Yes it was, but I just found out it was just a browser cache thing. While I was testing ebook functionality another user had raised in another thread it wasn't shown in the other browsers I tried, so I cleared the cache for the local IP of my server in Edge and it went away, sorry to have bothered you. I came back to edit my post but you were too quick for me.
