pwhodges 2012 Posted October 11, 2025 Posted October 11, 2025 You can't go "direct to the Internet" without going through an ISP, so whatever you thought was skipping something (just your router, I guess) was not doing anything useful. Possible ways to avoid traffic shaping may include using https, using a vpn, using different ports. But what works (if anything) will depend on the ISP. Paul
Luke 42077 Posted October 11, 2025 Posted October 11, 2025 I would definitely start with https and a non-default router port. Just changing the port number alone is quick and may help.
The Mad Titan 6 Posted October 13, 2025 Author Posted October 13, 2025 (edited) Hello guys okay so here we go after an exhausting round of troubleshooting. It wasn't the ISP on the server side nor throttling on the client side. It was literally a WPA issue with the Wi-Fi network I had to switch it from three to two after that everything played as smoothly as it could that's number one number two I switched from the emby for Android TV to the emby for Android app seem to do the trick. Thank you all for your support suggestions and everything because it all help me clear what it is not so I can find what it actually is and like someone said in the world is streaming we start having issues damn it can be anything. And in this case it was merely a WPA issue. Please consider this matter closed thank you on the server side and on the client side cuz after I reset my network on the server and did a couple of things that I found on a few Tech forms there on how to properly set up your ethernet for streaming and not just data that also help too as well so everything is running great once again thank you. Also bypassing the router and connecting directly to the modem also help as well i use a ethernet switcher so I still count the service providers wireless router without having to connect to it because they give us two pieces one of them is the modem the other one is the Gateway router I just eliminated the Gateway router and connect the straight to the modem. So as per your advice I eliminated everything that could possibly get be getting in the way and it seem to work so it's not throttling is not traffic shaping or nothing like that well if it was it was through that Gateway so I don't have to worry about it no more cuz the server is no longer connected through the Gateway Edited October 13, 2025 by The Mad Titan

Good to hear! Some issues can be rather complex, especially when items are being transcoded and the network structure is somewhat complex. Cool you figured it out eventually
