Just bought the Premium version (as I have more than one server) but I don't see a place to add another server?

Hello, are other people experiencing inconsistencies in the user statistics history?

Hi - just purchased the premium version, really nice app. I am seeing all watch history for all users under my account rather than under each user's account. My other users' accounts have a blank watch history instead of showing what they actually watched.

One other suggestion (and I can add this on discord if needed too) - @yockerhas made a ridiculosly helpful plugin that (among other things) allows server admins to limit the playback time for certain user accounts, which I use for my kids' emby accounts (i.e. they get to watch an hour of emby a day, and then playback is disabled until the next day). Within the plugin, I'm also able to provide them with bonus time, as well as change other limits.

Right now, there is a rudimentary Android app that allows me to see watched time for my limited users, as well as extend time and timeout, etc. It would be awesome if you could add this functionality to your app, as I feel like it would fit in perfectly with the 'app for emby admins' vibe you have.

See this thread/post for the link to the apk provided by @yocker

Anyone are more than welcome to take that android app (or any plugin i made for that matter) and change it in any way they want.
It was given to me as a template to make something but i have no experience at all with Android app making.

The app advertises 50% off, but shows $6.99, even when I click purchase.  I must be missing something; the app isn't going to be $14 normally, right?

I installed the app earlier today and got the premium and noticed the same thing.. cost in my country was $9.99 and said it's currently 50% off deal.. so wondering if the price normally will be double? Or was the discount not applied?

Same here.

@asgard25you will start charging $14/14€??? Really?

Honestly, I don't believe that you'll be charging so much and risking of not having many people paying. So, this 50% off seems just to make people pay right now.

As for the app, I'm still trying to see the real use for me.

• For now, what I've noticed:

 - If we play something on your app, even for some seconds, that we already seen and is marked as played on Emby, it will take out the played mark, even from Emby. And it doesn't let us mark as played, again.

 - When we start to see something, we receive a notification that the user is seeing but after 4 seconds we receive another one saying that the user stopped watching. Even if we are still watching.

 - When watching something in landscape, if we go to the info and scroll down to the "Performance Metrics" it automatically and instantaneously goes back to the top. We can only see that "section" on portrait mode.

 - There are files that it doesn't play (screenshot from your app and from Emby for Android, at the end)

 - When we do the back gesture, sometimes it opens the server list and then there's no way (at least I can't figure out how to) to hide it again.

It would be better to access the list using a button.

 - There are libraries that, as much as we hit "scan" and wait, it still doesn't show the content. And these even aren't the biggest libraries.

 - On "Statistics - Load Media Statistics" the results are not very accurate. I know that there's a disclaimer about it but it doesn't show that I have 4K files.

- Also, not sure how will it impact our battery.

What is your email? On the Play Store you say that is embywatchteam@gmail.com and on your Privacy Policy, you say says that is jellywatchteam@gmail.com but when we press it opens as embywatchteam@gmail.com, which doesn't work.

I don't use Discord.

Thanks

Is it possible to allow the app the access Emby using Api key instead of an admin user?

Thanks for the response!

Just to clarify, I wasn’t referring to Emby development directly. I was asking whether your app has a way to handle or bypass the RemoteControllable = false state that occurs after 60s of playback, since that prevents most control commands from being accepted. Basically asking if all sessions can be controlled through the app.

Thanks

Hello, we have added Jellystat integration to the EmbyWatch beta. To participate, you can join us on Discord (a link is available from the app options). Thanks!

You forgot to indicate that it's also spying abusively on user device. It collects gps position, postal code, first and last name of user among other informations :( App deinstalled and banned here from all my devices.

Sorry for late answer and can't edit anymore my original message :( After double check Duckduckgo anti spy system is lot less precise than in the past. As I remembered it it was clearly listing the tracking or other nasty stuffs used by apps, now it just indicates what the app "might" collect which is useless :( Sorry for the wrong notice and if someone knows a better anti spy tool I'm interested in ;)

@asgard25sorry for the wrong information :( I'll give it a try again !

This looks decent, and I like the sonarr and radarr integration.

3 points: the icon is jellyfin, I guess because the app was initially written for jellyfin.

Overseerr integration would be great.

And already mentioned, access through a reverse proxy does not work.

Tried to login via reverse proxy:

"bla bla bla" app says "You been banned from server permanently"

Local IP works fine.

Must be you RP setting. What RP do you guys use? Just signed to all my services (Emby, Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Jellyseer, Jellystat) via Pangolin RP and domain names, and everything is working as it should. Only Jellystat is red dotted, but it works nevertheless when going into the Jellystat menu.

the jellystat point is being corrected and is only accessible in beta

Hello,

The app itself does not handle user authentication directly. It simply uses the Emby API to perform the login.

If you see the message “You’ve been banned from the server permanently” only when connecting through a reverse proxy (while the local IP works fine), this indicates that the issue comes from the Emby server or its network configuration, not from the app itself.

I recommend checking the reverse proxy settings or any ban rules configured on your Emby server.

@asgard25Maybe Opnsense nginx reverse proxy blocking something. Emby server works just fine from outside. I'm not planning to mess with Emby or nginx settings if everything else works fine. Anyway, app maybe good, but found no use of it.

Can you share with me an access in private that I can test and understand?

I just tried again and it seems to work correctly with my RP settings now.

Thanks, but I haven't changed anything about this in the apps.

Just to rule out that it's my Jellyseerr installation that makes problems. Has anyone here connected Embywatch to Jellyseerr and is able to make requests from inside Embywatch?

I like the app so far, it's quite polished and can pretty much do everything I am using the Playback Reporting plugin for.

I would like to see the ability to include History on the dashboard. Preferably something like Playback history over the past 24hrs.

Also having some longer terms statistics like hourly and daily usage graphs, most used clients, and reasons for common reasons for transcoding. Much like the Playback Reporting plugin offers.

Hi thanks for your opinion don't hesitate to do the same on gplay, for the statistics I will put jellystat in external service which should answer part of your request, currently only with the api it is too heavy to load (you must have noticed it in the history. Thanks!

Little display bug: you don't take care of local settings of Android, dates are always displayed US format ;) My phone is setup in french and so display dates as DD/MM/YY but in Embywatch it shows up everywhere as MM/DD/YY.

Thanks
