just tried to install the latest update on to qnap nas and it fails.

just like the way it failed on a previous update.

 

error code appears on web browser page

As a test, are you able to install this?

This is the 4.8.11 release that you already have, so that would just be installing the same version on top of itself.

same error on webpage as image two on previous post.

 

this did happen before. but cant recall the build

Is there a way to get logging info from the qnap to get more info?

I've had a look at the logs, it just said failure to install. 

Nothing else was logged, as I've said it doesn't even get anything installed.

It fails the second I hit install.

there is no log of what happened.

qnap system log just has one line that read.

 

(app centre failed to load app try later )

success, having spent the morning going through all different builds and different locations for installing i found the solution.

 

firefox browser was somehow stopping anything from being installed and updated.

i tried chrome just based on a guess and latest version installed first time.

 

so back in business, but now have to rebuild all my libarys again.

 

i still dont know why or how firefox was stopping these installs

hopefully smooth sailing from now on, also found one of the programs that's causing issues.

Privacy badger, it's generally for blocking trackers, but for some reason It's locked out updates.
