Live tv open guide

Hi

I have been using the old Android TV app on my shield TV for years now.

Only thing holding me back from switching to the new android app is opening the TV guide WHILE watching a live TV program with my remote requires ONE remote button press on the Android TV app vs 5-6 button presses on the new android app?!?

Have I missed a setting?

Or will this be changed?

How about to make the live tv guide also an option for long press okay and button up?

The TV app used "up" because there are no chapters in Live TV and the guide seemed the most likely thing people wanted quick access to but configurable on those other actions would probably be even better.

I agree. Why not just make it the same as the android TV app.

We could make the up action option chapters / guide so that it opens chapters for content with chapters, and otherwise the guide.

How do I do it? I pressed up and it only brings up progress bar. When I press down, I see Info, On Now, then Guide so to get to the guide I have to press down, right, right, down. I'm on Fire TV stick so maybe it's different.

HI, have you explored the option in the app to control the up action during video playback?
