daethlor 1 Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 I have an issue with ASS styled subtitles playing from an SMB share. To be clear it's only via SMB. When a local path everything works just fine. If I turn off the subtitles for the video file, it plays without issue. This is only affecting the 4.9.1.80 release on docker/unraid. The previous 4.8.11.0 had no issues at all. It doesn't matter if I use my browser or android app to play. ffmpeg-transcode-ba2b326f-c11a-4e87-b5f7-818bb31b89ae_1.txt
daethlor 1 Posted October 6, 2025 Author Posted October 6, 2025 Sorry, not just smb, but this file's ass is the only issue that broke with the update.
Luke 42077 Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 HI there, please attach the main emby server log as well. thanks.
daethlor 1 Posted October 6, 2025 Author Posted October 6, 2025 Here is the server logs. After 6-7 hours and a few restarts it seems to have resolved itself. Nothing changed on the SMB share or the copy of the file locally. Not sure what happened. embyserver-63895368435.txt 1

Luke 42077 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 OK I see the issue. We will get the fix into a 4.9.x update. Thanks.
