Is there anyway to filter and show only movies with multiple versions? So then I can either split, delete one copy or keep both?

Also when a similar title/version is added the automerge fuction doesnt show it as recently added but sorts by the other items date if that makes sense.

Hi, yes that is what the new Duplicate filter does in the new 4.9 server release.

So what does Duplicate do exactly ? How identical must duplicates be ? If I have 4K, 1080p and 720p versions of, say 12 Angry Men, would they be listed under duplicates ?

If they are grouped, yes.

boom found it thanks Luke, didnt see it.

The new auto grouping function has saved me so much time, was on my todo list.

I dont suppose when a duplicate is added it can be made to appear at the top of the list by date added? currently it defaults to the other version and gets lost.

You can merge them by selecting metadata, file name or both.

I have metadata only selected and it picks everything up without a problem.

Great new feature, saves alot of time. Plus you can split individual titles once merged or unmerge everything....then merge them again.

I've found that when re-merging them the multi version icon dissappears from the cover though.

I guess the grouping / merging thing is why when I select duplicates for my movies it goes from about 2500 to zero. Doubt if I'm going change things around though, I've only just finished chucking out a bunch of the lower res stuff, which I thought this might have helped with.

If you merge duplicates you can filter a list of what you have to sift through.

True, but hopefully I've finished sifting through, and as soon as I start fiddling with settings I usually regret it...
