Hello

I own a Bqeel box that I upgraded with Aidan's Androit TV firmware

At this time I used a generic firware from Aidan

But now a specific Bqeel version exist

I want to know how is considered this firmware upgrade from a client devices count perspective

Is it going to count as a new device or the same client ?

Hi.  I'm actually not sure.  If the device ID published by the device itself changes, it will look like a new device.  I wouldn't think a firmware update would do that though.

It shows as another device in the Device view which confuses people.

Then it's possible that what ebr said may have happened.

It's a rather standard android box able run plenty of custom roms, coreelec, aidan android TV among most famous

BQeel Y8 Max (S905X3 4GB 64GB Gigabit)

My question is what about device count when switching from one custom rom to another

In my case I want to upgrade (from aidan standard custom rom to bqeel dedicated aidan one, because I have bluetooth issues)

(Understand when it's considered a new device)

It just depends on if they both report the same device id or not.
