v4.9.1.80 Movies Being Rescanned

Hi Friends,
I have just updated to version 4.9.1.80 and started a library scan.
It really goes in slowmotion. Moving from 15.6% to 15,7% has taken 20 minutes.
I hope this is only i first run problem after upgrade. If not it seems to be several hours needed for a scan.
Attaching a log.

The scan seems to spend a huge amount of time searching for online info for each item.
(A few lines follows - the rest in the log)

I think I forgot the log.
I can also see in my Synology DS423+ that it is a lot of reading writing going on in my diskpool.
EMBY Server is the only application running.

I am sorry you are having issues and I understand your frustration when you spend tons of time on custom stuff and emby erases it in a folder scan in minutes because a couple years ago I lost a lot of custom album art in a flash.

I'm not sure what tags are or what they are used for and I don't think I have any unless I am using the wrong nomenclature.  Could you explain what the tags are and how they are used?  I have not restarted my server but it has updated and I don't want to fubar a year's work either so I have been reluctant to restart the server.

I can see now that the initial library scan last night after updating took app. 1 hour and 20 minutes.
I did a new scan now in the morning and it says:
2025-10-02 09:17:27.443 Info TaskManager: Scan media library Completed after 1 minute(s) and 14 seconds
So - it seems to be just the first library scan that needs extra time.

I do have a problem with trailers loosing their artwork and metadata.
Attaching pictures on that.
Playing a trailer is no problem. It starts just fine.

So far no other problems noted.

Does this mean if I have created a TAG for a video file to be played for Advantage Point Intros, that this Emby update will simply erase them?

If so, not upgrading at this point. I'll lose thousands of tags.

Would it be a good idea for a Stable => Stable major version upgrade to FORCE a database backup as part of the process maybe? Then for problems like the above the process is reversible.

I have a pretty large library so after the update it was scanning from 11:59 on the 30th when the update was installed until I restarted a few hours ago. All seems fine except for the trailers. They have no posters, only blank placeholders, and they won't play from the windows app or the android app on my phone. They play fine from a browser tho'. Also the Vantage Point plugin skips over them.

Update: Trailers won't play on my phone using Edge, but play using chrome.

This appears to be due to the movie library rescanning. This has happened to a very small number of users. Apologies for the disruption.

No need for apologies - you all do a fantastic work.
And after the initial scan everything works just fine - except the trailers - but I presume that is connected to the recent update of trailer plugin.
Hopefully fixed soon.
