Dolby Vision with mkv Files since Server Update 4.9.1.80

Hi,
since i've updated to Emby Server 4.9.1.80 the LG Emby App is playing movies and series with Dolby Vision instead of HDR10.
I always read that playback of Dolby Vision is only possible in mp4 containers but not with mkv.

I only have movies in mkv containers an suddenly the are played with dolby vision. Is this a new feature?

If this is a on the fly conversion from mkv to mp4 where is the option for this?

a small addendum...
Plex plays the same files also with Dolby Vision so not the Emby Server Update made that possible but the latest LG WebOS Update (33.21.85) did that

I was just going to post this as well in the old why can't I get DV to play plex does it thread. I was re-checking all my settings after updating WebOS on my G3 and I had been putting those DV with HDR fallback hybrid files in mkv's to play as HDR or mp4's to pick up the DV side. Now the mkv's and mp4's both play the DV version and I haven't updated the LG app nor moved to Emby 49.x (waiting to see it there's a QSV issue with it on intel Synology per another thread first).

Don't you want a personal media server rather than one that puts all of your library and personal information in the cloud to sell to the highest bigger?

which is why I'm Emby all the way, don't think I've strayed lol. I was referring to the comments in there about how Plex just changes the container on the fly and why doesn't that get implemented in Emby. I actually like the mkv vs mp4 choice for which to play and I'll miss that since atm I can't play them as HDR's. I'm thinking its actually a bug in LG WebOS unless there's been a change along the way that doesn't require an mp4 container for DV, that's an @rbjtech as my go to authority?

Have you had a recent LG firmware update? It's more likely that this would have been what's changed.

Yes, it's confirmed it's the LG WebOS 25 update that rolled out for the G3 etc. series a few days ago that's changed and it's not just Emby affected
