erzonk 21 Posted October 3, 2025 Author Posted October 3, 2025 (edited) Hi, I press "Trailer" in the film overview, the button next to "Play" Emby tries to load the trailer and stops. If I press very quickly, a YouTube error 153 sometimes appears for a tenth of a second. Anyone have an idea why this is? Happens on the Samsung client, Android client and in WIndows client. So it doesn't seem to be a problem with the clients but with the server. It runs on a Synology DS118 in version 4.9.1.80, but it was the same in the previous one. I know that trailers ran smoothly at some point. Everything else runs smoothly as it should. Thank you very much and kind regards JoHi Feedback Feedback Edited October 3, 2025 by erzonk
Beispielsweise hier: https://www.izoate.com/blog/how-to-fix-youtube-error-153-video-player-configuration-error-explained/
Edited October 3, 2025 by erzonk
Edited October 3, 2025 by erzonk
Luke 42077 Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 HI, I would try refreshing the metadata on the movie and see if that helps.
erzonk 21 Posted October 3, 2025 Author Posted October 3, 2025 I think its the Same Problem Like Here: Maybe it works If we can fill out our YouTube Account Data somewhere in Emby....
erzonk 21 Posted October 3, 2025 Author Posted October 3, 2025 I completely reset the windows client and the Android Client, youtube trailers works for now. I also try this on the Samsung Client later and report it here. 1
erzonk 21 Posted October 4, 2025 Author Posted October 4, 2025 The last version on my Samsung TV was 2.1. I then installed the latest version 2.2.5 for Tizen via sideload. Unfortunately, YouTube trailers are still not running on the Samsung TV. What I can do is log into the YouTube app on the Samsung TV and see if that helps.
erzonk 21 Posted October 4, 2025 Author Posted October 4, 2025 (edited) After completly uninstalled Version 2.1 and 2.2.5, restart tv, install version 2.2.5 again the trailers work. Yehaa. Everything works fine now! Only new Problem ist this when i launch the App: After Klick ok, emby loads and i can use it perfectly. Does anybody know what this means? Edited October 4, 2025 by erzonk
erzonk 21 Posted October 4, 2025 Author Posted October 4, 2025 Okay, working no more. YouTube screen with 153 apears in Background again. Im logged in in YouTube on TV, used the newest Samsung tizen Emby app 2.2.5, the newest Synology Server Version, nothing works. I accept it for now and live without trailers. Maybe nextdns hast to do with it. I disabled It and it wont work too, but maybe theres some dns cache in Background ore something. Thx for help
Luke 42077 Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 If you google youtube error 153 a lot of apps seem to be impacted. We are keeping an eye on this. Thanks. 1
erzonk 21 Posted October 6, 2025 Author Posted October 6, 2025 I found an explanation: https://blog.new-web.net/how-to-fix-the-youtube-error-153/ Maybe you could adjust it in the Samsung Emby app in future releases.
erzonk 21 Posted October 6, 2025 Author Posted October 6, 2025 (edited) @Luke If you are not the developer of this Samsung App, maybe you could forward it to the right persons. Thx Edited October 6, 2025 by erzonk
