RTL Subtitles on Android TV look wrong, but fine on phone

Issue Description:

Subtitle rendering differs between the Android phone client and the Android TV client.

Details:

The first screenshot is from the Android phone client – this version displays the correct and revised subtitles.

The second screenshot is from the Android TV client – this version shows the older/incorrect subtitles.

 

Expected Result:

Both clients should display subtitles in the same corrected format as the Android phone version.

Have you tried the standard Android app out on your other device to see how it compares?  Reason being the AndroidTV app is being phased out.  The standard Android app should give you a similar experience as on your phone.
