Hi,

Windows 11 user here.

I have been using the software for approx 2 weeks now and absolutely love it. Today, I've just encountered my first problem.

I can't play a mkv-file "SHREK 2001 2160p BluRay HVEC" that I just downloaded, but seemed to work on the beta. I had an old folder with the beta or 4.8.11.0, i don't remember which. But when i went back for newest version and back to the beta it had updated sadly.

I will from now on backup my server :)

I have attached some log files, that i hope will help.

I've just checked your first and last logs, there's some mixup with your item paths:

Quote

2025-10-01 11:35:56.522

"Path":"W:\\Seed\\Film\\Shrek.2001.DK.2160p.BluRay.x265-GUWLIX\\Shrek.2001.DK.2160p.BluRay.x265-GUWLIX - custom.mkv"

"Path":"G:\\Seeding\\Shrek.2001.DK.2160p.BluRay.x265-GUWLIX\\Shrek.2001.DK.2160p.BluRay.x265-GUWLIX - custom.mkv"

First one failed to play:

Quote

11:35:56.631 W:\Seed\Film\Shrek.2001.DK.2160p.BluRay.x265-GUWLIX\Shrek.2001.DK.2160p.BluRay.x265-GUWLIX - custom.mkv: No such file or directory 11:35:56.631 EXIT

Second one played until exited:

Quote

11:36:01.685 [segment @ 000002968565ec00] Opening 'G:\cache\transcoding-temp\BB9730\BB9730_10.ts.tmp' for writing 11:36:01.790

[q] command received. Exiting

You'll need to clarify your setup and chain of events.

I moved the folder to G:/seeding since this is an m.2 980pro I was just testing If it was due to slow HDD(W:).

It would play once, but only running the website, my tv won't run converted or native file. Native file doesn't work either way, just loads forever to come up with a message i think it says: PLAYER_ERROR_CONNECTION_FAILED

Samsung TV AU9075 Tizen on this tv it always fails to play.

After clicking play it loaded for like 3 minutes before showing the player and gave info about movielength. It shows me the normal player but doesn't let me press play... before recieving this message "PLAYER_ERROR_GENERIC player:idle" def these words might not be in order - message only pop up for a brief second.

Hi, can you try rebooting your machine?

I’ve tried that ://

Taskmanager says uptime is 3 hours atm

It might be the soundtrack.
The Danish audiotrack in both formats (AAC/AC3) won’t load. But the DTS, which my tv doesn’t support, runs perfectly with the english language, but that doesn’t feel right and nostalgic to me.

the audiofile is fine, VLC runs the file without any issue.

And this was possible before the update

This bit confuses me. The file in your logs only has a single AAC Danish track.

Can you please do a fresh test? First, enable debug logging on the server. Then restart the server. Do the test, then please send the server and any ffmpeg logs from the time of the test.

You can then turn debug logging off again.

Thanks.

As a note, if you are modifying files, removing tracks, renaming/moving files etc, make sure you either metadata refresh or even better to rescan the library before playback otherwise they server is working on incorrect information
