Sorting of continue watching

Is there any logic to how the content on continue watching is sorted? Because based on watched date, the order of these shows are as follows:

In fact, even if twin peaks was the most recently watched show, it always appears in position 5. As a user, it feels weird that they're not properly sorted by watched date. Is there a setting I haven't found?

Hi.  They are sorted by last watched.

That is incorrect in my experience, as I have shared.

I can second that I've seen it act inconsistently.  I'll watch an episode or two of something and it won't move to the front of the list, then maybe the third episode I watch it'll finally jump up.

Maybe if you've watched it before, some episodes already have a "watched date" and it's getting old and new watch dates mixed up?  Just throwing ideas out there.

You can try the Legacy Next up instead of continue watching, It handles TV shows differently than continue watching. I use nothing but legacy next up for all my TV viewing,

All of these have been previously unwatched. But I'm glad it's not just me.

I tried that, but it shows the same order

The actual order in my library is correct if I sort by watch date. The crossed out ones I've manually removed from continue watching

Try watching that twin peaks episode halfway through and then see if it jumps to the beginning.

Yeah that moved it up. But that still doesn't solve that the show gets moved down once I've watched the episode and the next one is queued?

If you can get it to happen again then we can deep dive into it.

Same thing happened again, the other way around. The next episode of twin peaks stayed at the top of the list even when though I started watching a Midsomer episode. Only once the resume point of midsomer was past 50% did it get bumped up to first place

Started playing the Midsomer episode, moved the marker to like 10 minutes in. Went back to the home screen, where the episode shows with the correct resume point, but it's second in line after twin peaks. Started the Midsomer EP again, moved the marker to more than 50%, and checked the home screen again. Now it was in the right position in the list
