Default Playback Version

Are we able to get the default version of the media on a device to be online/original when playing?

 I’ve found that if I download a movie for example to a device and then go offline and play it. When I connect back to the server, the media version it uses is still the downloaded version and not the server version. 
 

This therefore does not give you seek option or chapters previews

Adding extra info... Even if I download a movie, when I play that movie when connected to the Emby server; it still defaults to play the donwloaded version.

Its great to do that to save bandwidth, but I loose all the seek previews etc (Rich scrubbing of the movie to find scene etc)

Hi… This feedback from me was for movies.

Can the behaviour not be split or it be a preference option?

Or is there a way to play the downloaded version is there but allow the downloaded version to show rich info still and the chapter thumbnails.

Sorry, did not see you replied. 
 

if I download a movie, then play that movie when the server is still available, then I don’t get any chapter thumbnails or seeking video pictures when I move the progress bar. It’s because if there is a download version it defaults to that playback. 
that’s good but you lose all the rich feeling of scrubbing through the video etc. 

would be good to default to server version.

Hi, we plan to add the concept of editions in future updates and that will introduce more options for you. Thanks.
