jamesgfwd@gmail.com 4 Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 sometimes shows will proceed to the next episode, but in many cases shows and movies that have been set to play in order (play all from here) or should be advancing to the next episode based on settings will just get to the end and stay there as if they are still playing and not switch. I have tested this by switching the play next episode toggle off then on, setting the shows and monies to played/unplayed and or restarting the server, but this does not seem to work every time, if I use one or a combination of these I can usually get things working, but it will not last, I must be doing something that is causing this, bu, I have no idea what that is. I started having all sorts of trouble when my son deleted ffmpeg because it was using the CPU, I added it back, but thuis issue remains since then I have replaced the old SSD with W10 with a new SSD with W11 and though most issues have been resolved, this one has not. I have attached a handful of log file for the last time this occured. emby-log-files.zip

jamesgfwd@gmail.com 4 Posted September 29, 2025 Author Posted September 29, 2025 ok, I started a show last evening called The Bondsman, it was cast to a Google Chromecast via my iPhone, I started the first episode then at the end nothing, the video stopped, but did not really stop it looked as if the file was still playing even though the actual video had ended, the emby logo did not show as it does when it is going to advance to the next episode so I did it manually. I believe it was around 9pm, that is the time in the log file the server name DESKTOP-B21DCF4. I hope that is helpful, I really have no other way to describe what I was doing as I was just watching the video, this happens all the time, I do the things I described and it will start working again, than at some point it will stop advancing and I will have to do it again.
