Updating emby connect on local user

I haven't been using emby connect for a long time. On my user there is the username for emby connect

If I try and remove that username I get this error:

If I try and just change it for my email I get this error:

What can I do to fix this?

Send an email to support@emby.media with the email address user Daimon had at the time of registering for Connect so it can be unlinked or create another Forum account and try to link that newly created one.

Hi.  When you attempt to delete  the user ID and get the first error, does the field blank out?

When you attempt to connect your email, are you sure you are using the proper one?  It starts with "jev..."

I delete the user ID and hit save and get the error. When I go back in to the user the user ID is back. I'm certain I'm using the correct email.

Created a new user and copied all settings and restored from the other user. Still get the there was an error adding Emby Connect message. 

In the log it looks like it tries to connect to my server with http but its set up with https and reverse proxy.

That is an Android device and is probably unrelated - unless you are trying to do this configuration from your phone...  If that's the case, I would try it from a browser on the actual server machine.

Try this:

Shut down the server

Find the file 'device.txt' in your server configuration folder and move it somewhere temporarily out of view of Emby.

Restart your server

Can you make the connection now?
