Guest Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 3.5.03 -09/17/2025 Update now playing indicator When I start playing a song the default view shows the cover art of 3 songs. You can easily see which track is upcoming and it looks nice. Since I updated the app I now see a bunch of crap on my screen to indicate which track is playing. Fake large spectra-graph with lots of motion. Why was this considered a requirement when the track playing is always the furthest to the left? This has ruined my normal workflow when listening to music because I don't want annoying stuff jumping around on the screen. If this is a requirement can we make it possible to disable in the options? Its legit taking up and blocking the entire album art? This reminds me of seeing an annoying ad on a website. I realize I can back out or set it to only display one song at a time to remove the insane motion but I have always enjoyed the 3 song view and its what it defaults into when you hit play. If the need is there to show which track is playing I would suggest a simple bold line under the currently playing song. Zero motion and clear indication. Thanks

Guest Posted September 27, 2025 Posted September 27, 2025 ShieldTV emby android app Browse Albums Hit Play on something It's the default behavior This (pumping / moving) playing indicator that takes up the entire album art is nauseating and distracting. Ruins the beautiful esthetics The indicator shouldn't touch the album art It should be small with zero motion. Make it distraction free.
Solution Luke 42077 Posted September 27, 2025 Solution Posted September 27, 2025 Hi, yes I agree. We'll take a look at it. Thanks.

If It helps anything emby for android 3.4.62 app does NOT do the "playing indicator". I'll just stick with this app version long term because this new "playing indicator" is a blocker on my workflow. Way too distracting and nauseating.
Luke 42077 Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 Once you get a newer version it will be much more subtle.
