Can't get this working.

I set it up on mac and it seems to be working other than trying to restart the server which just makes it spin forever in the browser. The real issue is trying to connect it on Roku. First I tried manually, got nowhere with that, it just told me it couldn't connect to the server. Then I used emby connect and it did find my mac mini but now it's just endless spinning.

I've got Plex and Jellyfin running just fine on this machine and the Roku TV. So I'm not sure what the deal is with this. Definitely the most difficult to get running so far. Through I really like what I'm seeing in the web interface.

Also I noticed there is no menu icon at the top of macOS like the other two apps have. Is this normal? How do I know my server is running?

Sorry for the double question, it just occurred to me that maybe there is supposed to be an icon up there and it's not there because my server is maybe not turned on and thats why my Roku won't connect?

Anyone with any ideas? I would like to get this working?
Is it possible my Jellyfin install is messing with this?

HI ,it could yes, as by default they both use port 8096.

Hi, this has been added to the arm64 build as part of the upcoming 4.9 server release. Temporary workaround would be to install the x64 version if you want the tray icon immediately.

Thank you, yes it did help. I actually got this advice already from someone on the Emby reddit, but thank you for replying. I appreciate it.
I shut off Jellyfin to get it working. I guess the next question would be, how can I get both to work together? Is there a way to change the port for Emby? It doesn't matter that much to me as I'll just use Emby going forward, but I'm just curious in case there are times I want to try the other again.

Also, I did a writeup of my initial thoughts on Emby and what has prompted me to try it out, if interested. I've been told I should share it with you all.

Thank you again. :)

@RoxicsHi, welcome and thanks for the post !

Yes you can change the local http port in server network settings. Make sure to restart the server after doing that.

I have not tried it yet, because I've been enjoying Emby too much to bother with Jellyfin in a few days. But I trust it will if I eventually try it.
